To make sure your invitations fit in with your theme, here at Your Wedding Store colour changes are free of charge. Send us a material or paper sample of your colours or order one of our colour charts.
There is also an option of printing out your own modern wedding invitations. While you buy the card stock and envelopes, we've done the design for you with our DIY printable invitations. Simply add your wording and print out as many as you need. Although making your invites this way is easier on your wedding budget, it does not allow you to have a professional opinion or as many options in colours, designs, and fonts. While this is not always the best option for everybody, it is a good option for people who want to save a little bit of money and still have professional looking invitations.

Vintage Wedding Favours

Lovebirds are social and affectionate small parrots who are monogamous and spend long periods sitting together. It's easy to see why human couples are often referred to as "lovebirds" - the definition fits a new couple in love or an old couple still in love after many years together.
Birds and lovebird themes are very popular in modern weddings because of what lovebirds represent = love and dedication. Birds are also the epitomy of spring and summer, so a lovebird theme can be incorporated into any warm weathered wedding event, especially garden weddings. A white love dove could be used as the main feature for your classic white winter wedding.
10 tips on how to create your lovebird wedding theme:
- The motif on your wedding invitations and other wedding stationery could be a pair of lovebirds or love doves. You would then carry this motif across into your decorations and stationery used on the day, such as the place cards, the seating chart and the table numbers.
- Have your flower girl carry a nest full of faux feathers instead of a mini bouquet.
- Use wedding decorations that embody the lovebird theme to decorate your reception.
- Natural objects such as centrepieces made from branches, leaves and trees, or even miniature topiary. You could sit small wooden or paper birds on the centrepieces.
- It could be a bit messy but how about releasing doves or having real lovebird parrots hanging in their cages from the trees. Make sure there are two to a cage, otherwise they'll be sad and lonely :(
- Attach cut out paper birds with wooden pegs to string and ask your guests to write little love notes on them for you to keep. These paper cut out birds will also form part of the decoration. You could also use paper cut out birds as your place cards. Place them on our gorgeous Birdcage Tealight Candle/Place Card Holders for effect.
- Make paper or fabric bunting in the shape of birds. Or make fabric birds and have them scattered around the reception. Match the fabric to your colour scheme, you could even get fabric with little birds on it. Here is a tutorial on how to make fabric birds.
- Large birdcages are popular for use as a wishing well, or purely for decoration.
- Your cake design could incorporate your lovebird mofit, surrounded by leaves and branches. A lovebird cake topper is another option.

I think Autumn is the most pleasant time of year, fresh mornings, warm sunny days, cool nights - and normally rainfall is low so good weather conditions for a wedding (except for this year, hopefully next year returns to normal!) The red, brown and green reflect the mixture of the cool, freshness and warmth of Autumn. Affordable Designer Wedding Invitations
We have in-house graphic designers who have created (and will continue to create) some fabulous designs to suit many a popular wedding theme. Our graphic designers are also available to do custom designs of your wedding invitations, other wedding stationery & stubby holders. Our pre-made designs can be customised also.
